Getting started

2: Set up your organization on Gameye

3min

Once you’ve finished setting up your Docker account and repository, we’ll need to get you sorted on our side. Before you move on, there are a couple of things we need to do on our end. Let us know when you’re ready, and try to give us 24 hours to set this up.

We need to:

  • Create your organization.
  • Add your image’s name on our end. Let us know what you’ve called your repository, so we can keep things consistent.

1: Get your authentication key

We’ll send you the key to use with our API. You’ll need to include this in your matchmaker code.

In case you didn't know You can test your key at this point with tools like Postman, Hoppscotch, etc. We'll get around to testing in step five.

2: Test on our sandbox servers

On our sandbox servers, you can test your setup and workload, as well as your ping and other fiddly details. We’ll tell you what locations we have ready in the sandbox, and then you can pick and choose which ones to use.

The only difference between our sandbox servers and live ones is that we don't automatically scale to meet demand on the sandbox servers. If our sandbox servers are full, let us know, and we’ll try to mitigate where possible.
